Almont Lakeside Hotel- Kitcharao

Photobucket

In between Butuan City and Surigao City is a small resort called, Almont Lakeside Resort and Hotel. It's overlooking the famous Lake Mainit.

Lake Mainit is the fourth largest and the deepest lake in the Philippines.

Langihan Lagoon

Photobucket

Looking at this body of water makes me hopeful. You can understand me when I say that because this used to be a "dumping site" by people selling/living along the lagoon.

Now you can stroll along the sidewalk without without wrinkling your nose in disgust. What a drastic change it is! But- There's a big but. There are beginnings of deterioration. Junks are collecting at the sides and it makes me furious. People really needs to understand the importance of cleanliness! (and I mentioned something about hope!)

Let's Hang Out!

This photo was taken at PPA or Philippine Ports Authority. The place popularly known by the Butuanons as a place to play badminton. Port as badminton court? Yep. See that building behind the trees? That's the badminton court.

As my friend and I were waiting for someone to join us on our photography trip on the river, we hanged out at the benches conveniently placed along the river bank. Mm... an alternative to the Rizal park, perhaps?

Last June 15 there was a brownout.

That means no electric fan, no airconditioner. So we thought of going somewhere where we can catch the unobstructed view of the sunset and the this was where we went.

That broom used by the guy is called walis ting-ting.
