Let's Hang Out!
This photo was taken at PPA or Philippine Ports Authority. The place popularly known by the Butuanons as a place to play badminton. Port as badminton court? Yep. See that building behind the trees? That's the badminton court.
As my friend and I were waiting for someone to join us on our photography trip on the river, we hanged out at the benches conveniently placed along the river bank. Mm... an alternative to the Rizal park, perhaps?

the benches/seats look like they're made of Pine, or are they plastic? they actually look real.
They are made of concrete (or that's what I remember them of being so). Deceptive aren't they? Hehe
How popular is badminton in Batuan or the Philippines?
Btw, the shape and colors of those benches look very nice from this angle.
I don't know about the entire Philippines but in Butuan in the past 5 or more years there was a sort of explosion-- a badminton craze.
Doctors, politicians, children, teens, elderly, people of different shapes and sizes took up badminton.
Warehouse, theaters/cinema houses turned into badminton courts. I haven't seen it for myself having stopped playing the game for the past year but I'd say badminton is still the game here in Butuan.
Thanks eki qushay akhwan! :)
nice colors. i like the bench.
