Boy, I really took this innocuous looking confection for granted. Let's just say that the greediness with which I displayed while eating this candy wasn't a pretty picture.

Haha, memories of my childhood. Family friend man gud ni si Lola Polon and I still remember when we were buying coconut candy by the bulk and it still wasn't packaged this way. Pero gisum-olan na ko ani ay...now, I bring Tita's and King's chicharon as pasalubong :)

I was going to say that you can have the buko candy all to yourself — never did like them or macapuno. But if you'd care to share some fresh buko or buko pie with me, that's a different matter altogether. :)

I never expected to get giddy about a buco candy hilda. That candy by Manay Polon was really yummy.
hmmm uy curious me, that looks really yummy. does it have any similarity with bukayo?
its similar to bucayo, I think but the sweetness is just right for me. The difference, I think is that the bucayo is more moist than this buco candy.
